2026 Durva Ganapati Chaturthi
Shravana Shukla Chaturthi Vrat is considered extremely auspicious and highly rewarding. This Vrat is primarily dedicated to the worship of Lord Ganesha. The Chaturthi Tithi is especially dear to Lord Ganesha, and the month of Shravana holds great importance for divine worship; therefore, performing Ganesha Puja on this day brings extraordinary results. This Vrat is particularly beneficial for those facing challenges related to education, career, marriage, children or health. It is believed to grant progress in all directions and freedom from all types of obstacles. On this day, devotees worship Lord Ganesha with devotion during the Madhyahna Kala to obtain His divine blessings.
Ganesha Purana, Skanda Purana, Mudgala Purana and Narada Purana extensively describe the greatness of Lord Ganesha's worship. These scriptures state that observing the Vrat on the Shravana Shukla Chaturthi removes all obstacles and ensures success in one's undertakings. Specifically, the Uttara Khanda of the Ganesha Purana mentions that those who observe the Chaturthi Vrat are blessed by Lord Ganesha with long life, good health, wisdom, knowledge and prosperity.

- Recite the Ganapati Atharvashirsha, Ganesha Stotra and Ganesha Chalisa with devotion.
- In the evening, listen to or recite the Durva Ganapati Chaturthi Vrat Katha to complete the observance.

- On the Panchami Tithi, conclude all rituals by performing Parana i.e. breaking the fast, in the presence of a Brahmin as mentioned in Mudgala Purana.

The effects of this Vrat remove domestic conflicts, mental distress, financial problems and professional obstacles.
