Significance: The Guardian of the City

Kaal Bhairav is the Kotwal (Guardian) of Ujjain. Traditionally, permission is sought from him before leaving the city.

• The Miracle: Devotees offer a bottle of liquor (whisky, rum, or country liquor) to the priest, who touches the saucer to the idol's lips. The liquid disappears in front of your eyes.
• Tantric History: This temple was once a center for Kapalika and Aghora sects.
