Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kalupur: The First Temple

Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kalupur is the first temple of the Swaminarayan Sampraday, built by Lord Swaminarayan himself in 1822. Located in the heart of the Old City, it is a marvel of intricate Burmese teak wood carvings and vibrant colors.

• Transport: Best reached by auto-rickshaw as the lanes are narrow. Near Kalupur Railway Station.
