Sita Gufaa (Cave Temple): The Site of Abduction

Sita Gufaa (Sita's Cave) is located near the five Banyan trees of Panchavati. It is believed to be the spot where Sita Maiyya stayed during the exile and the exact place from where Ravana abducted her.

The cave entrance is extremely narrow. Check the physical requirements and crowd status on the Trilok App.

Significance: A Portal to the Past

• The Cave: Devotees have to crawl through a narrow, low entrance to reach the idols of Ram, Sita, and Lakshman inside.
• Shivlinga: Inside the cave, there is an ancient Shivlinga that Goddess Sita is believed to have worshipped.
